Who we are
minipeterborough (minipeterborough.co.uk) is run by Mini Peterborough, the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: our contact form (we don't have a public email address yet).
1. Information about listed providers
What we hold: business name, activity type, area and postcode district (or a business address for premises), public business website, phone, email and booking link, ages, times and prices, and the date we last checked them. Where a provider is a sole trader, their trading name and business contact details may be personal data.
Where it comes from: the provider's own website or official pages (for example a club's national-body page, or a council page for council-run services), Companies House, and information providers send us. We use council and other directories only to discover that a business exists, then check its own website.
Why, and our lawful basis: to help families find local activities, which is in the legitimate interests of parents, providers and us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have carried out a written legitimate interests assessment. We only publish information the provider already makes public for business purposes. For home-based providers we never publish a home address, only the area and postcode district.
Your right to object and removal: if you'd like your listing changed or removed, use the "Remove my listing" button on your listing or our removal form. We act on removal requests promptly, normally within 5 working days, and keep only a minimal record (business name and the date of the request) so that we don't add the listing again.
Marketing to providers: we only send unsolicited emails about claiming a listing to limited companies' general business addresses, and every email lets you opt out. We don't email sole traders or partnerships unless they've asked us to.
2. Providers who claim a listing
We hold your name, business email and phone, what you've asked us to change, and records of any launch offer you take up. Lawful basis: to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
3. Parents and visitors
- Messages and forms: whatever you send through our forms (contact, add, claim, update or remove a listing, launch offer), used to reply and act on your request (legitimate interests, or steps towards a contract for claims and the launch offer). Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify Forms, part of our website host, on our behalf. We delete submissions we no longer need and keep messages for up to 2 years. A hidden spam-trap field is used to filter automated spam; we don't use CAPTCHAs or tracking for this.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, use local storage or fingerprint you, and gives us only aggregate figures such as page views and referring sites. No cookie banner is needed because nothing is stored on your device.
- Outbound click counts: when you follow a listing's website, booking, phone, email or directions link, it passes through our own address (/go/…), which adds 1 to a count for that listing, link type and date, then sends you on. We don't record your IP address, device, browser or anything else about you, we skip known bots, and no cookies are used. We use the totals to show providers how many families they reach (legitimate interests).
- Cookies: this site does not set cookies of its own. Our forms are on this site and set no cookies.
We don't collect information about children, and we never publish children's names or photos.
Who we share data with
We use these service providers, who process data for us under contract: Netlify (website hosting, domain/DNS, form submissions and the click counter's storage), and Cloudflare (cookieless Web Analytics). Some of them may process data outside the UK under UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK-US data bridge. We never sell personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing), data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Use our contact form and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113.
